Resources & FAQ

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We are a foster-based rescue.  So that means that all of our dogs are placed into foster homes until they are adopted.  Ultimately, that means that there is no central location to come and visit.

If you are interested in meeting one (or more) of our dogs, please fill out an application HERE.

All of our meet and greets are done via appointment only.

HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE MY APPLICATION IS APPROVED?

You will usually hear back from the Adoption Coordinator within 72 hours from the time that you submitted your app.  Please give our staff some leeway as we are all volunteers!

DO YOU HAVE A PHONE NUMBER I CAN CALL?

No, we do not have a public phone number.  We had a public phone number before and we received hundreds of phone calls per day.  We do not have the staff to be able to answer the phone or return phone calls in a timely manner. We make every attempt to provide answers to as many questions as possible on our website and Facebook page.

If you have more questions, please feel free to email us at info@elpasocountycanine.org.

Fostering won't cost you anything! We will provide you with a kennel, food, collar, bowls, etc.  You would be responsible for transporting your foster pup to the vet for medical care and spay/neuter as well as to any adoption events or meet and greets.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE MOST UP TO DATE INFORMATION ABOUT A DOG THAT I'M INTERESTED IN?

Our website has the most up to date information about our dogs.  We work hard to keep our website as up to date as possible.  You can information about our dogs HERE.

I LIVE IN ANOTHER STATE, CAN I STILL FOSTER OR ADOPT?

You can adopt from out of state but you must be able to safely transport the dog to your home.  Transport can be very expensive and the Rescue is unable to fund that.

We cannot foster out of state at this time.

I AM INTERESTED IN SURRENDERING A DOG OR CAT TO YOU, IS THERE A COST TO SURRENDER AN ANIMAL?

clipart385352.png

We do require a small donation when surrendering an animal to us.  For dogs we require a donation of $100 and for cats we require a donation of $50.  We also require a copy of all the pet's veterinary records.

****We are not accepting owner surrenders at this time****
